Exercise TEI

Exercise 1

• download the file and save it in the data directory on your USB-stick
• encode the meta-information in the header according to the TEI guidelines
• encode the text according to the TEI guidelines until (including) the paragraph and the sentence level (use <s> instead of <sentence>)
• save the resulting file as an RSC_1009222_tei.xml file in the data directory on your USB stick

Extra Exercise

• download a file from the Internet and perform the same exercise as above on your own text

ATTENTION! Save the XML annotation of your files, you will need it for the next lab sessions!
